The California coastline already offers some of the most stunning views of the Pacific Ocean — and among the most underrated sights is the Waterfall Overlook Trail at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, which leads to McWay Falls, one of the few waterfalls that empties directly into the Pacific.

Since it's an easy access of the 1 so I've been there several times...

I say the only real downside is the gas prices there if you're on a tight budget. These prices in the photo below was reported back in late June/early July at the height of Summer travels so it should be a bit cheaper now but then again, that gas in the Big Sur area has always been high:

Can't deny the view, the weather and all the surrounding natural amenities though per my first hand experience of being there... O0:
