The guy was threatening the entire apartment complex with a knife and then charged the police. When the police showed up it was clear that people living there were scared for their lives.
If his family members cared so much then where were they? Why was this man living in a state of depression? How did he get to this state of mind? Where was the clan? The answer is because he's a difficult man and even they didn't want to deal with him. What about Hmong non-profits and their programs?
His family is lying if they claim they didn't know something like this would happen sooner or later. We all know the temperamental people in our families. We don't want them to end up dead but we understand that their behavior will catch up to them. Just like your own abusive father. If something like this happened to him, I'm sure you wouldn't even be surprised. Even though he is your dad and you have some regret, even you can't be shocked.
The black community isn't innocent either. They are a wreck and they most often do it to themselves and I say this as someone who did live in black communities, black society, black culture, etc. There are more black criminals getting away, not only murdering other blacks (women and children) but cops as well, than there are blacks dying by cops. In fact, as I type this there is already more than a handful of blacks repeating crimes, shooting at other people, fleeing police, etc.
It boils down to this. If you don't want cops showing up on your doorstep then you have to manage your own family and your own community. Anybody who can't get in line will have to deal with cops and cops are only there to do their job. Sometimes you have to let these difficult people experience this. It is our of your hands.
