Gun Violence
« on: May 03, 2023, 01:18:39 PM »
Active shooter situation in Atlanta right now.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0mIuaADZHs&ab_channel=FOX5Atlanta

This country is getting so scary w/ high statistic of gun violence.  almost everyday oh my goodness!

https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting?page=5

We need politicians to get their act together and do something.  Every time there's mass shooting, all we're getting is "sympathy" message from politicians/leaders, etc.  That's not enough.

Prayers go out to Atlanta today.

Maybe do something about the people... We all know that even if there's no guns, a person that wanted to harm others will find a way to do so.

So ignorant and dumb as usual....But NOT surprised when it comes to PH's George Santos. Which is why the neutral PH members said, he "don't know anything"...

Quote
One-punch killings: They happen more often than you might think

It's happened countless times across Oregon: People get so angry they punch one another in the face. Most often those injuries lead to black eyes, bloody noses and bruised consciences.

Occasionally, they lead to death.

One punch can kill.

Again and again, readers voice shock with each case that makes headlines.

"They shouldn't express surprise," said state medical examiner Dr. Karen Gunson. "It's uncommon, but not rare."

Ten days ago, 61-year-old motocross enthusiast Anthony Mancuso died after he was decked by another man and fell, striking the back of his head on pavement at Portland International Raceway, police say. Michael T. Taylor, 50, was originally arrested on a fourth-degree assault charge, but that was dismissed pending a grand jury review that could result in homicide charges.

Big metropolitan cities like Atlanta experience gun violence daily. It's not really a shocking story.

This world is so big and with so many people that if you think that before today's end and before you go to bed tonight that nothing unusual happen in today's world?  Lets keep it real.  Just be grateful that gun violence doesn't happen to you or to your family.

Another mass shooting.... This one in Texas.

How about this one, also in TX, Dok... 8 people killed and 10 injured when a SUV plowed into them while they were waiting for a bus.
Now, are we going to ask the gov't to do something about these huge "assault" vehicles? Can we force a background check and have potential buyers wait months to have the 'green' light to buy them?

According to data analysis... more children age 1-17yrs old. When you include 18 & 19 years old into the mix, does gun death exceed vehicular death. However, suicide by guns account for half of all gun death. If you were to take gun away, half of the gun deaths would still be there but by different method (drug, knives, etc etc)

Seat belt isn't going to help those waiting at the bus stop... they were plowed over by a big SUV.

Its a game of chances
Higher survival rate if you have your seatbelt on
