Come on... that undocumented illegal is probably 15 yrs old and being passed as 4th grader to start his English Education. I know a lot of Hmong peeps in the early arrival days would change their age lower to get into lower grades to learn English.

There is a difference between sex education and sex exploitation.. . these children are not being taught about sex (male, female sex organ, reproduction, etc etc). They are being exposed to their teacher's sex life, how to perform sex if you identified as this or that, being shown pornography, sex position, etc etc. Some states are even forbidding parents to know what their child identified as...
I know you want your 10 yrs old to know all that and to explored them but I don't want my child to go through that until he/she can handle those. And just because you reached your puberty at 12, does not mean everyone does the same. I didn't reach it until I was 16 and sex education was not taught until 9th grade for us.

There are always exception to the norm... However, I just don't believe that teaching elementary school age children about sex and showing them sexually explicit pictures is teaching them anything.
