Supree Court Strikes Down Race-Conscious Admissions

Race will no longer be taken into consideration w/ college admission for Harvard and U of North Carolina, one public and one private.  This could send a firestorm across the country to other pubic/private colleges.

Race/Gender/Religion/SES/ ...etc., shouldn't be factors that are part of admission anyways but should be based on one's merit.

With that said, the higher education system should get rid of members of the power that be that can't be fair to all equally by basing their discrimination on the factors mentioned above. That way the system can be fair to all based on their merits.

1. It should be base on your parents Alumni status
2. How much money you have and if you can even afford college in the first place
3. Donation to the school… $100k and you are automatically enrolled
4. Only smart people 4.0 GPA… plz no dumb people… fast food is where they go
5. Zip code… no ghetto zip code… talking about you southside chicago kaydoo

Agree with this ruling, merit should trump race/religion/sex... We saw what's happening with Affirmative Action in PH here... Rock got into college

Sorry to bust your bubble but I did went to an all white school... from elementary all the way to high school. And I wasn't a rich, wealthy kid either... Maybe that's why I don't fit the mold of being a Leftie/Demmie sheep, I have a mind and view of my own. I don't dwell on racism or complained that I couldn't become a CEO or rich because of systemic racism.

So, you're pissed that the Asian are now going to have the same chance as the blacks and admission is now going to be base on merit and not on race...

Did you even know that this lawsuit was brought up by Asian because majority of them were being left out to make room for blacks/latinos that weren't even as academically on the same level as them? blacks/hispanics with lower grades were being accept while Asian were being denied... all to make the 'race' quota.
