Oakland has a deficit right now so she probably will not get it this year.

Small city mayors and big major city mayors are completely different. The city where I work at has a population of about 40,000 and the last three (and current) mayors are all schoolteachers and I don’t think they get paid a salary at all. Whereas some big city mayors are the equivalent of state Governors when it comes to responsibility, power, and influence.

Oakland is a big mess with too many FRAUDs and with Raiders and Warriors gone. A's may be next to leave town.

Oakland used to be the only "small market" (under 500k population) with 3 pro sports team from three of the 4 major sports in America (NFL, NBA, MLB)..

But now looks like they'll lose all 3 in just a matter of a few years.

So, what's her justification for the raise? Is the city better off that she came into office? Are revenue up?
Or just wanted to get paid because she believed she's underpay compare to SF, LA and other major cities.

That is one highly paid chick I never heard of. 

By the way, if you want to know if she is working hard enough or just clout to get that raise, well she flew to seattle and gave to the MLB commission a 30 copies of the A's deal and transaction with the city of oakland as they are going to vote for the fate of the oakland's a's.  70% of owners need to vote in favor for the team to move to Loss wages. 

Otherwise, she is pushing for a new stadium to be built to keep them A's in Oakland.
