I had dark meat rooster before. It was a specialty buy at the open food flea market that you've been to like the one under the highway of downtown stockton. I don't think the seller realized how valuable these dark skinned critters are worth. My dog one morning stared down my flower bush and he froze there. Upon inspection, it was a white looking chicken. I caught it and clipped the wings so it can't fly and let my dog played with it in the backyard. This chicken ate my dog's dog food from his bowl. They lived happily together like that until one day, my dad slaughtered it for a holiday dish. The meat was blue I kid you not. I did not eat it because it ate dog food.
Oh and the best rooster to fight are them japanese kind called the shamu. Tall boxer like a ga noi of vietnam or them thai fighters.
A breeder here in the bay area has them and he loaned his friend from the LA area his rooster and it won a single fight for $40K. This guy then drove the rooster back to my friend's place and gave him $5K cash. The secret he told me, I shall not reveal it but it made sense though. I mean it is so common sense but to me, it's cheating unless you get caught. Simple trick but I'm not telling out of respect for my buddy.
it's simple, you take a rooster that can take a lot of pain and kick like a moose over a highly skilled bird. that highly skilled bird can also kick like a mule, but if it can't take pain or as much pain, it will tire out eventually and become sluggish..and that's when the dumb, hard hitting, no pain rooster just need a few good hits, or sometimes just one good hit and its over...lols
if you have a highly skilled bird, take as many pain as it wants, and give pain that reaches the bones, then you hit the lottery...lols
Shamos are a Japanese breed. It's pretty much their variation of the thai fighting cock. They have a very upright posture. they are known to take a lot of pain, give a lot of pain, but no skills whatsoever..lo
ls the only time they stop fighting is if they're dead. they can fight non stop for up to 6 hours...lols the thai, brazilian, burmese roosters, at most they can fight up to 1 hour non stop...the ganois are similar to the Shamos as far as fighting nature..but their biggest flaw is theier lack of feathers..this make them sensitve to pain if hit at the right spot..also less feathers means poor balance and poor agility.
that's why a lot of Asian cockers that still fight birds on native American lands once or twice a year..haha have mostly crossbreeds...
that thai birds in thailand today are not the original thai breed..they are crossed with AMerican or Spanish type fighting roosters maybe to 1/4 or 1/8...the reason again is as I stated...they are breed for fast win, fast money....there's few thailand cockers that are still preserving the original characteristic
s of the thai fighting chicken. Most Hmong cockers in America don't like the look of the modern thai rooster either...lols
