NEW HMONG RELIGION: shaman+christiain..... LOL yea pretty weird

so there this new hmong religion spreading around
i first encounter it in one of the MN funeral home that i attend many moon ago

basically they would set up the funeral like shaman stuff
pray and sing jesus song
and do some shaman stuff too


it's really weird man
it's like shaman and christian mixed

it's not crying at the casket and etc...

i didn't get the name of this new religion

they have all their people from the church/place
to do all the ritual and stuff

and i guess they do other ritual stuff too like marriage

Uh... Hmong Catholics still hold to some shamanism rituals... like calling the spirit (hu plig), tying string around their wrists (khi tes), etc etc
Some Hmong Cathlics told me that these rituals are Hmong traditions and not shaman religious rituals - which I disagreed with them.
