Offence motivated by hatred
320.1001 (1) Everyone who commits an offence under this Act or any other Act of Parliament, if the commission of the offence is motivated by hatred based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, colour, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression, is guilty of indicated offence and liable imprisonment for life.
So... if you improperly used the wrong pronoun, that mental person can claimed hate speech... and you'll be arrested and you might be jailed for life. It'll be up to you to prove that you were not being hateful. You know the rule, guilty until proven innocent.
