It's your intuition telling you that something is off about this person and if you continue, you'll be disappointed.

There could be truth in this. I've never felt strong butterflies for anyone. There was only one guy that triggered some of it and it turned out that my intuition about him was correct. Over time, his stories never added up and there were moments when he'd let something slip out which confirmed what I felt was true all along. People who deceive can never escape their lies. This world is too small, especially when it comes to the Hmong community. Unbeknownst to him, we share mutual acquaintances and their unsolicited conversations revealed to me that he wasn't who he said he was. Not only that but hard proof fell into my lap that he was totally lying about his situation.
