White bass in Wisconsin is not consider a game fish.  It's considered rough fish and you can take as much as you want.  Wisconsin does not have a bag limit.  The DNR there wants them gone to give more room for other game fishes like northern, muskies, and walleyes.  The DNR are so strict if you catch a carp you have to kill it because it's illegal to return it back into the water alive.

damn...

when is a good time to be in wisconsin for the whitebass?

survival of the fittest. if northern, muskie n walleye can't win they deserve to be extinct n let sheephead be the top of the food chain. ;D

then it's the white peeps fault for not selectively harvesting over populated fish. they continue to harvest the species that r fewer.

n they get mad when hmong peeps volunteerly harvest loads of white bass.

Refer to the 2009-2010 regulations and you'll be fine.  ;)

Finally the bass are biting in the Wisconsin River...which is good. The bad part is that my brother caught both of them. Here's the picture of the second one which was about 16 inches the first one was 17 inches.  :)

I know what you're thinking. "Your brother schooled your a**.." Sure he did but I didn't go home empty handed.. ;)

That's right I fished out a Rapala. That's a $6-8 bait and I got it for FREE NINETY NINE fool!. haha hahaha... Don't worry I'll catch up to my bro soon enough.

That's how the majority of the smallies in the Wisconsin River (well at least the part I fish in) look like. I think it's because the water is pretty murky due to the dead leaves and such in the water. If you fish in the streams the some of the fish look like this but some are green with red eyes. Can't wait till my month of volunteer layoff - I'll be fishing sun up to sun down... :P
