how do shad taste like? i heard it has alot of bone... i usually let them go, they're very thin...

They do have alot of bones... They are very good eating. Well some just use it as soup and eat very slowly. It taste plain o' simple. Some what better than striper.

I remember when stillwater, in MN had them shads. I use them as bait to catch big catfish and boy you sure did catch huge cats. To bad, it seems to me that those shads are long gone.IDK why no more shads over at stillwater.
