hit the AR this morning again (8/21/11) 6 - 730 am...bait fish 4 bouts 50 mins n nothing so i switch over 2 my lucky pencil popper (black/chrome) n on the 3rd cast wham this guy (24") slam it.

Again the s/o just got these two stripers earlier between 6pm and 7pm @ Ocean beach, SF.  8/21/11
Top: 31" 14lbs, Bottom: 28" 10lbs

No pinfish here.  The s/o has been using the same lures top water lures (popper) and road runner lure.  
Good year for surf striper in the bay beaches.

Are you from the bay area too?

There are alot of top water fishing videos on youtube.  


This pic was taken couple weeks ago.  This is how surf fishing looks like in the bay.    :2funny:  This is not even pack.  There are more pple at the pier and at the other side of the beach. hahahaha word gets around quick when one person caught a striper.   :2funny:

they're probably reeling like crazy too... ;D ;D ;D

because i know when salmon season comes around on lake michigan...we're reeling-in like there's no tomorrow...aha hahaha...
