my morning fishing trip...only caught 2 fish; a crappie on a fluke n a bass on a roboworm

Nothing impressive but its my first fish of the year. A big, fat almost 4lb smallie out of Pool 4.

Actually, you guys have some real nice ones on the Sac River. I used to fish them sunrise til noon. White and yellow grubs, along the rock shores.

Should've been more specific, So Cal.  We have some but not as much as I would like to see (like in every lake ).  That 8-7 is the same fish in the previous page with the pot belly.  Caugth on a 8" Hudd.  I went out this morning again and got 3 bumps but none stuck.  Probably smaller bass???  That's what I always say when I don't hook up.

8lb 7 oz, that's no joke man. What's your PB anyway? I gotta start swimbaiting it. We just had our last trout plant at my local lake, I wonder if there are still any momma bass hanging around for a quick trout meal. Also thinking about hitting Castaic or Pyramid for some stripers.

Wipers are a hybird of striper mix with white bass. In case others aren't aware of tat.. wipers N stripers look almost alike. Except the cut off line on its back.
