Are you waking it or slow rolling? I'm gonna be tossing my first swimmies for bass this week, hoping to at least get bit haha.

I've got them both ways.  But majority of them have been on the slow roll.  My buddy got a 15#er  :o while waking.  Good luck and don't be discourage of not getting many bites.  Keep on throwing, you'll stick'em......

Thanks, yea if I end up liking them I may get a rig for it. Lake Casitas is like a 45min drive from my place so it may be time to hunt some DD bass.

My buddy and I have been tearing up the bass this past month. The bite has finally slowed down somewhat, most of the bigger fish have moved out of the area. Had two trips that were just mayhem, we each got 5 fish limits in like 2-3 hours of fishing. Lots of topwater action too. Here are some of his pics, I decided not to photo mine:

Very nice fishes.  Topwater fishing is the best.  I love it.

Nice fish guys! You guys have some pretty lakes with great scenery. Ours are just flat, if we're lucky some small hills and steel slopes.

Yup. It was a good spring bite. The action has slowed down now though, it's time to find the crappie.

you can see the pike flies on the fish... sort of...

top fish: chartreuse and white bunny clouser

bottom fish: natural (brownish grey) lead-eye bunny.
