I prefer shoe shopping at outlets instead of regular shops.  I like having the boxes out and trying them on myself.  I always feel bad asking the person to try 3 different sizes.  I usually try at least 2, so the person has to go back again.  Then, they stand around while I put on the shoe and walk around a bit.  And then, after all of that, if I don't like the shoe, I don't even buy it.  I feel like I wasted their time.  They might be on commission, so I want to help them out.  But, I just don't like the shoe.  Sorry.

31. Nike Hyperdunk 2014

Alrighty, scratch another one off the envy list.  I got these to replace my UA Torch.  I like the design that UA uses, the low cut back.  It feels more mobile.  I was going to get another UA, but the Hyperdunk 2014 also had a similar design.  When I tried them on, the Lunarlon felt a bit better than the Micro G on the UA (not that Micro G is bad).

I wish the shoe used a woven upper, but the materials are still good.  I like the tongue design and it is well-ventilated.  Although the shoe looks heavy, it is actually relatively light.

I wore the shoe this morning for its first game, and it performed really well.  I am a bit injured right now, but I didn't think much of it with these shoes on.  It could be a coincidence, but I still like them.

I got them in the black and neon colorway.

32. New Balance 574

I've always checked these out since they were classics, but I never had a reason to get them.  Well, I did.  I was out the other day, but I didn't expect to do much walking.  As it turned it out, I had to do some extended walking.  It usually wouldn't be a problem, but my recent injury makes walking long distances a challenge.  I needed some shoes right then and there, and a New Balance store as there.  They had their high tech shoes there, but I opted for their classic 574.  I can wear the 574 more casually, and I have my eyes set on a different running shoe anyways.

I got them in the navy with the fresh foam.

Almost every outlet don't matter which direction east, west, south or north is like 1 1/2 hrs to get there from where I'm living.  I hit up Gilroy Outlet the most but haven't shop for a while because I don't feel the need to keep spending $$ for clothes and shoes if I'm not working so rather used it toward foods to filled up my stomach.  Maybe next week when I'm visiting my parent for 2-3 days I can hit the outlet about 5-10 min away.  My 8 yo son want a Stephan Curry shoes that is part of Under Armour brand but I haven't check it out.  He like basketball and football.

Under Armour shoe........st ill can't find one and last got one from Marshalls but it was girl and took it back.  I think I have enough of buying tennis/althetic shoes and feel like I'm buying running version vs. walking.  Walking shoes just look ugly.  Right now I want a few more boots from Ebay that I have on my watch list.  I don't mind used as long as it still look good and price is reasonable.  I preferred leather boots.

I think you need to stop buying shoes unless you got $$.  I'm addicted but I keep it under $40.  I could be addicted to buying clothes but I don't have the height.  Petite clothing are like old lady and nothing fit right.

Your son has expensive taste if he wants those Curry shoes (which are on my envy list, too  :D).  Then again, the Curry 2 is still cheaper than some other signature shoes.  Plus, the Curry 2 fit very well.  Does your son play basketball?  Personally, if I didn't play, I wouldn't buy basketball shoes. But, that's  just me.  I see lots of people sporting basketball shoes and they don't play.  That seems to be a popular "style."

You could always just buy your son cheap shoes so that when he is older, he'll appreciate the expensive ones.   That's what happened to me, but I know kids today live in a different era.  And, such a lesson might get lost on this new generation.

Similarly, I prefer running shoes over walking shoes.  I agree that walking shoes look too weird.  I got my eye on the new Adidas Ultra Boost, but those are pricey compared to my level of envy.

I am fortunate enough to be able to afford my shoes.  Plus, I am recovering from a foot injury, so all these shoes are actually part of my rehab.  It's kinda annoying because I now have all these shoes.  But then again, at least I am able to have the choice.  Some people (if not many) with my injury don't get to experiment on shoes like I can.  At the very least, people who visit my place can check out my shoe collection.  I actually got them on display now.   ;D

Talk about clothes, I got too many of those.  I got a whole thread on that...

When I buy shoes, I buy them to wear.  They're a utility for me, and they will all get worn out one day.  Recently, I have been buying more shoes than normal.  The other day, I saw a long line at the Nike store, and it was just for a shoe!

I've always known there were people out there who wore sneakers for style and not for game.  These guys don't play the game, or if they do, they aren't good.  The shoe is just a fashion statement.  However, people have recently been buying the shoes to resell.

I see it as baseball cards in the 1990's.  The cards were valued highly in the 1990's when they came out.  However, they're not worth much at all now.  Why?  It's hype.  The cards weren't rare, the hype just made the cards seem rare.  The same goes for these shoes.  The shoes aren't worth that much.

In the end, if you're a collector, then just wait.  The price is going to drop.  If you want to ball, then wait because the price is going to drop.  Or better yet, save the money and get a comparable shoe (or 2).  The AJ29 are great, but if you can't swing that cash, get something else (non-signature).  The shoe will still be really good, and it's not like the shoe is going to make you ball better.

So which shoe was the long line at the Nike store for?  The Air Jordan 11.  WTH?  I remember these shoes when they first came out.  People are paying these crazy prices for OLD shoes.  It's a nice shoe, but there are better shoes to ball in now.  It's a good looking shoe, but it's not the only good looking shoe.  In fact, there are better looking shoes for cheaper.

My son is a big boy for someone who is 8 yo and on the bigger size.  Wearing flat shoes doesn't look good on him so we preferred basketball shoes because of the high top and it will be easier to wear with jean.  My son does played basketball and football at school a lot during recess.  He start basketball season next month with the city team.  He has expensive taste when it come to basketball and football but I keep a budget on what I buy for them because I don't like to spoiled them as parent even if I can afford it.  I have to teach my kids money doesn't grow on the tree.  I have a limit or budget and a shoe that cost more than $50 is too expensive.  The Stephen Curry shoes he saw it was on Amazon about $60.  His bday is in Feb so we'll see what he really want when the time get closer.

33.  Adidas Crazylight Boost 2015 Nations

I like the shoe, but I might have gone a half size too big.  I dig the black and gold colorway.  As far as performance goes, they felt better on court than in the store.  I eventually forgot that I had them on when I was playing, and that is always a good thing.

34. Nike Hyperdunk 2014

Again? Yes.  It's one of my favorite ballin' shoes, and the price is too good to pass up.  I much rather buy a couple of these than buy one new Lebron.  Speaking of the Lebron, the Hyperdunk 2014 is better than the Lebron 13,  but that's just my opinion.

I got these in a funky red, white, and blue colorway for $40 at the Nike Outlet.

Shoe Envy 13: Air Jordan 1

I just like the classic look of the AJ1.  I kinda want a pair to wear with my suit, but I have been rockin' my Converse.  If I find the AJ1 in a black colorway for a good price, I might pull the trigger.

Shoe Envy 14: Nike Kobe 11

This shoe drops this weekend.  A knitted upper.  A drop-in mid/insole.  That's already good enough for performance.  Then, it just has style points for a see-through bottom.  I'll probably be getting a pair eventually.  The question is whether or not I want to pay release day price for these.  I don't usually buy shoes on release day, but this has sentimental value, and it happens to be cool.
