I went squirrel hunting and the best thing about it is the hike.... and the nature scenery.  Anyone into squirrels hunting?

J/w... do you eat squirrels?  Some people don't so they don't hunt.

Yes, you have to know the spot like fishing...and depends where you live too.  I love the beautiful hike and this year we have a lot of mosquitoes.  Good thing I wore a hat w/ mosquitoes net and was protected.

I don't eat squirrels. When I was a little kid, we found some red baby rats on our thatch roof and I got really scared of rats and all rodents since then. I can look at a furry squirrel but not one like those that have been singed or cut up.

I'm a big game hunter. I hunt deer and ...well, have yet to get to bears and coyotes. But I hunt deer with my bow and gun.

I went deer hunting last week.During lunch, I took off to a local Chinese restaurant. I met two Hmong guys there. They said they were hunting squirrels and that they already got two that morning. We all agreed with you: gotta go far to find those critters.

I would love to go but no squirrel around here.  Would have to really travel for them critters.

Hmmmm I C.  While hunting big game, did you come across any wild mushrooms?  FYI, I'm not into venison...so don't care too much about deer hunting but I know people who are.

Anything is something for only some people, not for anybody or everybody. Squirrels aren't for me. But venison is.

Yes, I've come across mushrooms: morels, peacock back, puff balls and some others that I can't identify and don't know if are edible. Morels are secrets. But puff balls--if anyone wants some, I know a place that  grows some every year. There are many ready to go right now.

Did you shoot  when you were last out squirrel hunting?

No, I go to enjoy nature, keep my husband company, and for the hike.    Can you post a picture of those mushrooms you mentioned?  I wonder if they're the same ones I came across.

No, I haven't come across those mushrooms.  My husband and I picked some that looked like clusters of oysters mushrooms and they were alright.  Oh my love to come across morels.  I heard they're highly prized....and the other ones love to try them too.  Good for you.

I pick morels but I don't pick the other kinds. Yes, morels are expensive, taste real good, and hard to find.
