If you need money to down a house
Stick with High saving/checking account

Just like a financial portfolio, I am diversifying mine so I can't get screwed unless the internet is broken.

Offshore plus online that yields me the highest rates for parking my money.  I mean I'm not touching my money now so why not just park it and let it grow with them weeds?

Only thing is that there is a min amount which can be high or take 2.3% with a min of just $100 plus it takes days before you can even get your money as to lets say parking your money at your local bank where money is accessible right away. 


If my math is correct, parking $25K for a year should yield you around $500.  That's $500 as to peanuts had you park it elsewhere or $0 if you are like them welfare people who don't trust banks or don't want the government to know that you are a baller on government's aid and stashing your money under your mattress. 

$250K fdic insured is $5000 a year.  Hot dayam that's better than most companies giving away Xmas bonus checks.
