A couple still aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship is suing Princess Cruise Lines for $1 million over its handling of coronavirus

Princess Cruise was probably just following protocol from the higher ups..I had a good experience with Princess during our Alaska cruise:

I can see how some can get all stress out about it but if it's coming from the higher ups, and Princess is just following the protocol, can't really blame them..Unless it's something they did wrong during the hold...

With about 2,400 passengers, it's a big operation logistic wise...still 1,000 passengers on the ship currently:

More than 1,000 passengers are still on the Grand Princess cruise ship waiting to disembark. The ship has been docked at the Port of Oakland since Monday. As of last night, about 1,400 passengers have gotten off of the ship.

Some people are showing mild symptoms of coronavirus. Those who are not sick enough to need hospital care, but may be contagious, are being quarantined in hotels in San Mateo and Monterey counties. Governor Newsom says the hotels are secure and segregated from the general public.

Passengers from California, who appeared healthy, were taken to Travis Air Force Base for quarantine.

Some passengers on board the Grand Princess were bused to Oakland International Airport today while many more wait their turn.

Out of state passengers are being taken to military bases in Georgia and Texas.

Foreign passengers will be flown to their home country..
