Christmas
« on: December 09, 2020, 07:35:41 PM »
I just put up my Xmas tree up and done w/ most of my Xmas shopping.  Christmas is that time of the year to lift the spirit, especially this year.  Most of my neighbors probably feel the same way because I noticed more Xmas decorations this year than years past...and my evening stroll is uplifting seeing all those dazzling lights....

Did you put up your tree?  Ready/looking forward to Christmas?

Yes, I always put my Christmas tree and decor up Thanksgiving weekend. I have also noticed and heard that people were putting up their trees/decor up earlier and that there are a lot more outside decor/lights this Christmas than prior years.

I noticed that too...even before Thanksgiving, Xmas music was already playing.  I think this year people need Xmas...to cheer up the gloomy year.

What about the kid in you?

You don’t need kids to celebrate or decorate for Christmas.  Growing up, my parents always put up a tree and it’s become a tradition of mine as well.

Looking for a few scrooge or stubborn azz people but that is why they calling it the holiday spirit.  If they live through enough Christmas, somehow, somewhere, your heart will melt to see the xmas holiday in a different light.

My dad does his lighting inside the house.  too lazy to take it down and it is still there by next xmas.

I'm not too thrilled about putting up a Christmas tree.

What about the kid in you?

It's just not fun enough without kids around.

Yes, I agree.  The decor/lights at night does brighten a person’s mood.

I’m going to check out some Christmas lights this weekend. *excited*  :hello2:

You should know by now that you do these things for yourself, not for others.  ;D
