Amalfi and Santorini are both amazing places.  No more imagining.  I've lived my wish and it was great!

Pix are in my memory and heart  :D :D :D

Before going, I imagine myself sitting somewhere in a beautiful place way up the caldera overlooking the Aegean sea.  I did that and it was amazing, seriously.  You should go too, no more than 2-3 days.  I visited Rome, Tuscany, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast as well and it was aaaaaaaammmmmm azing.

Time does not wait, go.

My descriptions will not be as great as you see with your own eyes.. Go.

Even now, if I close my eyes, I see the roman colosseum, the streets of Pompeii, the scary drive up to Anacapri from Capri, standing up on the cliff of Capri, looking down into the horizon of the endless crystal blue Agean sea and dotted boats/ships below, bright pink Boungainville flowers lined entrances to hotels and homes, and Santorini, blood red sunset, November wind, and during the day, Summer rain, blue sky, turquoise sea, white buildings scatters across, blue dome, cliffs views, and more.

Yes go...

Can you describe them into a poem, Dok_Champa?

I'm not a poet but sure I can try....

Come Visit me
Winding roads carved along steep
White house stare out to sea
People sitting, eating, going delightfully
I will show you serenity
My wind chases away your melancholy
Colorful bougainvillea fil the air...
Lovers hold hands in pair
Stars painted like fireflies
Horizon meets ocean and sky
A spectacular display of golden light
One of thee came to me
She still sings beautifully
Of everlasting memories
Come visit me

Beautifully written poem, Dok_Champa. It does sound like Santorini place I see.

Maybe you could write poetry after the trips you had visited. That way it may describes your emotions and your relationship with the environments.  O0
