Yes, finally legal! It's all about safety
« on: November 16, 2021, 04:44:19 PM »
Adaptive headlights finally legal in US with Biden's infrastructure bill signed into law. We'll finally be treated to some great tech that outdated regulations kept from our shores. Audi's ingenious Digital Matrix LED (DML) headlamps can selectively dim certain parts of the road ahead to avoid blinding other drivers.

Bro, for your camry, if she is still riding with stock yellow lens, I suggest you to get them white light which is not all that expensive.  I got them on my aunt's ride for $50 and all it was just a bulb replacement.  Instant luxury class for your ride and you will notice a big difference right away.

So when you on auto and it is still day time, your dome light will be yellow but will auto turn white when needed to which I think is cool.  The guy in front be like wow, I just saw a yellow light turning white, nice aftermarket trick.   O0

Also, if your camry is missing motor oil, just change your pvp value.  IT is only $14 for the parts.   Somehow they made these camry with these defect and once found out, the recall warranty will be over.

I love your camry.  Auntie is now sitting at 380k miles @ 2011 model.  If you heard of a famous youtube mechanic guy called scotty kilmar, he did a youtube podcast for which used car he think is the best used car, he gave your camry the #1 spot.

I have oxidation and yellowing on my Tacoma headlights since it’s made of plastic.

What products have you guys tried and work?

Agree!  O0

Unfortunately, it was involved in an accident and the insurance company totaled it but yes it was a pretty reliable car over the years..

I just replace it with aftermarket headlights because they are so cheap now. I replaced my Taco's headlights about 3 years ago with a set of aftermarket headlights and it still looks good like when new:

The replacement process wasn't that difficult either. The hardest part was removing the two side bolts inside of the fenders because I have big hands but not bad overall. Took me about 30 minutes..

Do you have to remove the battery cables and the fuse to perform this task?

And if you want OEM, you can go that route too but be prepare to shell out about 400-600 dollars for a set. I'm happy with my aftermarket $100 set. Still looks and works good after 3 years.

After market should be fine. Do you have to adjust the headlight to the right height before tightening or it just falls to the right place naturally?
