Overlooked Section of the Iconic Las Vegas Strip Gets a New Life
New developments, refurbishments, and major projects breathe life into a less popular part of the famous Las Vegas Strip.

When you think of the Las Vegas Strip, you generally think of the south Strip, which counts Planet Hollywood, Aria, Mandalay Bay, and Luxor among its many properties as well as the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, or the mid-Strip which contains the Venetian, Mirage, Harrah's Caesars Palace, Pairs, and Bellagio among other properties.

...A bit more barren, the north Strip has the Strat (formerly the Stratosphere) and Circus Circus, a property that has seen better days.

Here Are All the Big Developments Coming to the Las Vegas Strip


Las Vegas is in the midst of another transition that could change the city's skyline and elevate the international profile of the city.

Whether it's attracting professional sports leagues to the town or attracting world-class entertainers to performance residencies, Las Vegas has been on a roll over the past few years.

The biggest project in the pipeline is Fontainebleau Las Vegas on the Strip. The hotel will feature 3,780 hotel rooms and 550,000 square feet of meeting space when it is completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.

This new mega-casino, which sits on the North Strip, would be part of a major effort to revitalize that second of the 4.2 road. It's an important project because it, along with a potential new North Strip Arena along with some other casino projects, could provide a viable alternative to the Caesars Entertainment (CZR) - Get Caesars Entertainment Inc Report and MGM Resorts International (MGM) - Get MGM Resorts International Report casinos which dominate the central and southern Strip.

I was in vegas in Feb and already booked everything for vegas on the weekend of may 20th for the EDC weekend.  Not going to EDC though. 

What I do know is the mirage is no more.  Hard rock will take over and their famous volcano will be no more as they will put up their iconic guitar. 

Ballys is also no more.  They will become something else I forgot. 

Palms is bought by the same indian tribe casino from LA area.  The san Miguel. 

Ballys might move into the Tropicana. 

BTS is doing their residency for a few nights in vegas this year. 

Other residency confirmed is Usher and Adele who cancelled her earlier tour but now promised to end the year with her residency. 

Reason for vegas for me?  I'm doing it with my boys.  My cali boys will meet up with my cheating boy in MN and he's bringing his new inlaws and their families.  Gonna be ugly I already know it because plans don't go out right.  Once you in vegas, everyone wants to do their own things.   Plus my boy from mn is now poocee whoop by the new woman so going anywhere with us will need her blessings.  I met his woman from them other trips so when I see her again, I'll give her a nice hug and will try to pop her fake tits with my hard chest.   

Yall should plan such trip too.  We can meet up and dix fight.   

Rooms are crazy expensive though.  $300 a night for a basic room.  I'm a baller so my room is free and it is a strip view, 3x upgrade.  All that for being their loyal player member.  Flight is not too bad.  Check this, $100 RT and I do not have any hook up with our local airlines.  Allegiant air flying out from my local city of stockton.   Talking about vegas on a budget.
