Are more Asians really voting Republican?

More Asian Americans are voting Republican, says new study

Asian American voters are increasingly shifting towards the Republican Party, a recent study by the New York Times has found.

The influential demographic, which has historically leaned heavily toward the left, began leaning towards conservative candidates in the 2020 and 2022 elections.

While Asian voters still supported Democratic candidates in last year's midterms, the margins lessened significantly based on past election returns and exit polls.

The report from The Times highlighted the shift in Sunset Park’s Chinatown area in Brooklyn, New York, which used to vote more than 70% Democrat.

As illustrated in a map created by Jason Kao, the community gave its support to Republican gubernatorial nominee Lee Zeldin, who won many of the majority-Asian districts in Brooklyn's Chinese neighborhoods in the previous gubernatorial election.

More Asians also chose Republican candidates in statewide races in Florida and Georgia, giving them at least a third of their votes. A similar increase in Republican votes was seen in Texas and other states, reflecting a national trend.

The Times' report attributed the shift to a number of factors, including the Republican party’s enhanced campaign efforts to reach Asian voters in recent years and the Democrats' apparent leniency.

Democratic candidates’ policies and proposals on pressing issues affecting the community, such as merit-based school admissions, have resulted in voter frustrations.

Republican anti-crime rhetoric has also resonated with Asian voters amid the rise of anti-Asian violence in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The shift comes amid the growth in voter participation among Asian Americans, who now make up over 18 million voters.

From the 42% of Asian American voters who cast their votes in 2018, the 2020 presidential election saw a 60% voter turnout for the community.

Yes

Probably it has to do with the ongoing Asian hates. Also racial discrimination s in school and workforce.

If you poor, for welfare and tax money programs to support you for life then sure, vote democrat.  They tend to dip their hands into the USA treasury pot to support the hand out groups.

Not the asian I know though.  We come to America for a better opportunity.  That means jobs, businesses, paying tax instead of paying tax to help support the kaydoo movements.  Maybe to be asian is to be a kaydoo bias hater.  With my people, a big diss is to marry or date a kaydoo.  You heard the latest news that I just posted about democrats in San Frans wanting to give eligible kaydoo $5 million dollars each just because their ancestors were treated wrong as slaves?  Well what about my people?  Was it not for the USA military to bailed out on us that we lost the war and here we are in America?  Do we get $5 millions as well?  Heck, kaydoo has their own holiday.  Martin Luther king day as a national holiday.  Is Chinese new year a national holiday?

So the message is to know who you are fighting for.  Let me give you another example.  Kpop is global  huge.  Next month, there will be a Kpop festival in Vegas and rates for flights and room are already inflated.  Asian kids are joining the bts army so of speak and even some hmong kids are korean wannabe.  However, did they not know that if you go to South Korean right now and go walking in public and start asking the nice people there for driving direction or help, they will treat you like dirt.  South Korean people treats asian foreigners badly.  They love white folks though but if you are a southeast asian foreigner, they will treat you like how the whites are bias against the black folks here in the America.

Now ask yourself.  Why support their culture and music when they do not even accept you?

"South Korea lacks an anti-discrimination law
Newspapers have frequently reported on and criticized discrimination against immigrants, in forms such as being paid lower than the minimum wage, having their wages withheld, unsafe work conditions, physical abuse, or general denigration.
Overt racist attitudes are more commonly expressed towards immigrants from poorer Asian countries

I would say this is about waking up to the BS of the Left/Dem party... They only accept women and minorities that are sheep (no questions ask, just do as they say).
They claimed they are for the little guy and minorities... fact is, they are favored by majority of the Millionaires and billionaires - that has to tell you something about what they really are. And the fact that Lefties/Demmies see Asian as 'white' because we don't fit into their oppressed race narratives.

Same phenomenon with Spanish people and even blacks... more and more are moving from the @ss to the Elephant party.

Sorry for anyone that's not black in SF... you'll be paying for the insanity there. I bet less than a few years, these blacks that won the "Reparation" lotto... will be in the exact shape, economically, as they are now.
