That’s a lot of engineering! I recently drove by Tesla’s plant in Fremont and so many new condos, town homes and businesses everywhere within walking distance. With that many new residents in that area, a new elementary was also built plus a park.

True in regards to that community's growth. I had a Hmong buddy that used to work at NUMMI in Fremont as a supervisor until Toyota and GM shut it down. Tesla took over that place and never looked back.

What is more important is how many of them tech guys who gets the big payroll are driving a tesla to work.

The guys that makes the big bucks but drives a beat up vehicle to work is in a class of his own.  He is also car savvy and a must to keep up with them maintenance to his vehicle.

Tesla is a good job security place to work at.  The technology is here but not depleted so she is not going anywhere anytime soon.  I know guys who have 30 years at one tech giant company and once they got the layoff notice, when they went to look for another job, they only have one line item on their resume because that is all they know.  They are a tad older and not old enough for social security retirement so these groups of people are a handicap when it comes to the job market.

Sales with commission and bonus makes more money.   Them engineer guys have a time limit to display their final product to the marketing team and marketing goes hand in hand with the sales department.  If it doesn't pass spec, the product goes back to them engineer guys to revamp the product again.  So guess who's the boss of them engineering guys?  Sounds stupid but the marketing and sales guy.  Other department that has nothing to do with you is your boss?  This is why I quit   :2funny:
