Why would they just claimed it's an accident?

Why you pushed someone from behind, that's not an accident - it's on purpose. I get it if the person was running and not paying attention an accidently bump into the elderly person but that's not what happened.

Who's the suspect?

No matter which political party is, either one is no different. All govt want is $$$$ instead of justice.
If it's a Latino or Afro or Redneck, it's racist thing to say someone did it base on skin color. It's not a big deal. The suspect is pardoned. Forgive and move on.
If it's another Asian person that did it, deport that person immediately. It's unforgivable and must be dealt with punishment in prison.
