My husband and I moved to the area from California and we were so surprised to see so many neighborhoods with no backyard fences? We're renting in Menomonee Falls right now but are starting to look into buying a home here. We've ran into multiple subdivisions that have rules regarding fences. What's the deal? Why aren't private backyards preferable?

I'm in the Midwest and I love the 6ft privacy fences. It's less about being neighborly and more about having some sense of privacy. So, yeah, I love the 6ft fences.

I've been to the midwest and houses do have wooden fences.  You don't get out much from the basement other than P'ing in the snow lol.

I went through all theking's past posts. There's not a single photo he stole from Google nor stock photo. Those were his traveling pics he had taken during his trips. At least he had taken selfies.

As a Wisconsin native currently living in Texas I find the opposite weird. Every backyard has an 8-10 foot fence/wall around it like it's its own tiny fiefdom, which is a little less weird when you consider how close together most of the houses are here
