in 2019, a 34yrs old woman named Amanda Eller went out for a little hike. She didn't bring a cellphone, water or anything since it was just going to be a quick hike and back. Well, she got lost and wasn't rescued for 17days.



Hmmm... how do you get lost in Maui? If you look at Maui on google map, the larger portion of the Island is approx. 25miles East to West. There are roads along the whole coast of the Island. Just walk away from the mountain that you're seeing and you'll be at the coast. Now, the article didn't say where she at when she got lost but I find it astonishing that she was lost for 17days on a 25miles max diameter island.
