...data stored in one of these?  ???:

The sleeper issue that could play a huge role in Virginia, New Jersey and the midterms
Leaders in both parties are locked in competition to encourage tech giants to put sprawling data centers in their states, looking for an economic leg up and an innovation edge in the early days of the artificial intelligence boom. Now, those same leaders are dealing with a downside that’s more apparent by the month: Those electricity-hungry data centers are a major contributor to rising utility bills for cost-conscious residents who have been concerned about rising prices for years.

Quote
The proliferation of data centers across the United States is reshaping the landscape, with satellite images revealing their rapid expansion and the accompanying environmental concerns.
Growth of Data Centers
Data centers, which are large facilities housing servers and networking equipment, have become increasingly common in both urban and rural areas of the U.S. This growth is largely driven by the rising demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) services. As tech companies invest heavily in these infrastructure s, satellite imagery has documented their spread, showing how these sprawling, windowless warehouses are now fixtures in many communities.

I drove passed this one and it seemed to be about 1/2 mile to a mile long... ???

Wait... I thought the Lefties/Demmies were all about fighting Climate Change... Yet, they want to push for these electric power hungry centers? Hmmm... Well, it's the Left/Dem... anything to win even if it goes against what they keep preaching... Remember their "My Body, My Choice" when it only applies to murdering the unborn, 'Believe the Science'... does not apply to gender/sexes, DEI does not apply to Whites, guns kill people - abortion is fine, etc. etc.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently stated that building a full AI data center in the U.S. takes about three years from concept to operational AI supercomputer, contrasting it with China's speed in construction and energy, highlighting significant infrastructure challenges in the U.S. for the AI boom, notes Yahoo Finance, MSN, and Fortune. This timeline includes significant hurdles like permitting, utility connections, and energy capacity, with Huang pointing out China's advantage in building large projects quickly, like a hospital in a weekend, Fortune.

Key Points from Huang's Comments (December 2025):

U.S. Timeline: Roughly 3 years for a U.S. data center build-out.
China's Advantage: China can construct major projects much faster, mentioning they can build a hospital in a weekend.

Infrastructure Bottlenecks: Huang's concerns extend to U.S. energy capacity, which lags behind China's for supporting the massive AI demand.

Comparison to Other Projects: This 3-year figure contrasts with China's ability to build large infrastructure projects at incredible speeds, even as U.S. hyperscalers (Amazon, Google, Microsoft) race to build out their own capacity, Fortune.

Why It Takes So Long in the U.S.:
Permitting & Regulations: Zoning, environmental reviews, and utility approvals cause major delays, Fortune.

Power & Grid: Securing sufficient power and upgrades to the electrical grid is a massive challenge, Fortune.

Construction Complexity: Large-scale AI data centers involve complex, specialized builds, Fortune.

Remember Lindsey Gram, Tom Cotton, and Nikki Haley sign their names on the missiles to bomb Palestinian children and pregnant mothers. MAGA don't practice what they preach about "don't kill unborn baby".

Ask your GOP friends because they "push" for it too...

Yup, they do require a lot of power:

Quote
Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary's planned "Stratos" AI data center in Utah is designed to consume 9 gigawatts (GW) of power at full buildout, which is more than double the entire state’s current average usage of roughly 4 GW. The project, approved by Utah's Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA) in April 2026, will generate its own power via the Ruby Pipeline and not take electricity from the existing grid
