According to reports in March 2026, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) led by Kristi Noem, acquired approximately 2,500 new vehicles that agents are refusing to use for operations.
The vehicles were ordered by Madison Sheahan, a 28-year-old former aide to Noem who served as deputy director of ICE, and were designed to be highly visible, featuring dark navy paint, red-and-white racing stripes, and prominent "ICE" branding.
