Central California farm/campus town to hold Hmong American Day
Hmong American Day will be celebrated Saturday in the Central Valley town of Merced in California, reports the Merced Sun-Star. The city is known for its agricultural heritage, being the gateway to Yosemite and for the University of California at Merced campus. The event will be held at Bob Hart Square on Main Street from 4 – 8 pm. May 9. According to Your Central Valley, several young women will compete for the title of Miss Hmong Merced. A special exhibition from the Sanger Hmong Museum of Art and Culture will also be available.
