Anyone know of great hiking trails and a good river to fish near the Tahoe area?

I have not been up there in years but I've always enjoyed the Truckee and Carson rivers in terms of river fishing. Prosser Creek near the CALNEVA state line and Markleeville Creek were nice too. On the NV side, try East Fork Carson river.

Check the regs before you go.

Not sure what kind of fish you're looking for but trout and salmon are most common in those areas. Good luck!

I will be in the south Sac area. Any lake or river that one can fly fish near / around the area?

I've only done a couple fly fishing in the Sierra so not much experience there.

I have never done fly fishing in the Sacramento area though so wouldn't know any good spot. I say try the Delta as that's where I did striper and sturgeon fishing years ago...Good luck!

I love fly-fishing.

I thought Lake Tahoe is itself a hot fishing spot.

I have a friend who owns properties there. She said
I could stay at her place when I go there. I really look
forward to that soon.
