You can't be ignorant and say there was no currency involved. The
Hmong currency at one time was just those ncuav ncuam. For other
cultures, half a cow or pig or some other sort of exchanges. Those
were considered "currencies" during their times.
A divorced Hmong woman may have cost fewer currencies, but there
was something cost involved: a meal of a boiled chicken over
steamed white rice, etc.
