Do you also enjoy a good guitar riff?  Here is my ongoing list of favorites.  Feel free to add.  So, let's start this with...

Do you sometimes feel like you don't have a partner?  Try some red hot chili peppers.

My second song choice is easy.  It's song 2.

Some interesting facts about this song...

1.  It's GnR's only #1 on Billboard.
2.  The guitar riff was just something Slash used for warm-ups.
3.  Axl was supposed to keep singing at the end, but he didn't have anything.  Thus, we get him repeating "Where do we go?"  He apparently didn't know where to go next with the song.

BTW, the song also has one awesome guitar solo.

You should really give Sharona some time, especially if you have seen the album cover.

And if you aren't into old school rock, maybe you like the Run DMC version.  It's tricky.  So tricky, Penn and Teller got in on the action.

Beat It

This video was so bada$$ as a kid.  Re-watching it now that I am older, it looks corny.  I mean...these bada$$es were crawling out of the sewers, guys wearing shades at night(people still do that), the synchronized knife fight into gangster dance routine, etc.  In any case, Van Halen provided a nice riff, and I wanted a jacket with zippers.

White Stripes - 7 Nation Army

Even if you don't want to hear about it, everyone's got a story to tell.  BTW, doesn't the video look similar to the effect they used in the Hobbit?  And that was just 5 armies.

I used to listened to Yngwie Malmsteen, Eddie Van Helen, and Randy Rhoads heavily. I still do from time to time.

Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride

This song gets really funky when you listen to it with Mary.  If you ever get to hold Aladdin's lamp, be sure to make your wish before someone takes it away from you.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama

Here is another old school one.  Even if this isn't your kind of music, you must have heard of this one.  Kid Rock samples it years later, although he was singing about Michigan.  But I guess there are always blue skies around all sweet homes.
