I only go there for the food and games, other than that I really don't have much to do there.

Y'all taking it for granted.

Embrace it while y'all have it cuz once it is gone, the Hmong will have one less activity to do and not having things to do will make the Hmong in the USA uncomfortable.

Are the girls still easy ;D :D

I wanted to come but sadly MN doesn't have any real tourist attraction to help justify the long trip :P

Not this year.  Haven't gone for a long time because what I need is available year round.

You know when you talk like that...

You make it sound like you're ashamed to be hmong.

I don't understand why some folks make it seem like it's lame or pathetic to attend hmong functions like that.

At the end of the day we're all still hmongs.  This is part of our hmong culture.  Why should we be making fun or belittling our culture?

I went through all 15k posts and those 2 quotes I found were the only ones so I guess that would make it "everytime".  Feel free to go through all 15k posts and verify by quoting them all.  You need to quote them all to verifying prove "everytime".   Please verify that Im wrong.

I can get papaya salad w/o looking for anyone.  It has to be something more tempting if I'm going to make alllllllllllll llllllllllllll l that effort.  Hmmm, I might think about if let's say, an all inclusive trip to Thailand  for a week or two;D ;D  Now, I could really use something like that right now.  Too busy...need a vacation to a warm place...

I doubt July 4th is "part of our hmong culture"...

Now, you realize how much more enticing the papaya salad offer is.

In that case, even if a vacation is the prize, I won't be looking, too many condition(s) lol

Reporter, do you know anything about the new organization (United Hmong Family, Inc) that is running the J4 this year?  They are a non-profit 501c3. Under IRS rules, the majority of their funding cannot come from fundraising (J4 and NY).  If the majority of their funding is from fundraising, they could lose their tax-exempt status and therefore pay taxes on all the money earned.  Also, under IRS rules, their operation must be exclusively for their tax-exempt (charitable) purpose.  It must not benefit private individuals.

With all the money that they collect, where does it go? :o
