Since not all cars nor its brake systems are the same, what is the year, make and model of your car?

I've done plenty of brake jobs for various vehicles over the years...so it depends on the year, make and model...

I’ve never done it myself but I have assisted someone. It doesn’t seem hard but I wouldn’t do it myself.

Sounds like you need to get it done quick before you have bigger issue.

He's already in hot water if it's been 10 years and there are scratching sounds. lol

Super easy.  Just 4 bolts each side.  15 min job per side.

One has to think about raising the axles, buying the right fits, removing screws, etc., too.

Super easy.  Just 4 bolts each side.  15 min job per side.

Bro, brakes are easy to diy. YouTube is probably by far your most trusted source of information nowadays for anything and everything. It beats the advice from trolls like us all. You don't need a whole lot of tools. You will need a socket, rachet, & wrench set however. Harbor Freight sells them for cheap. When it comes to jacks, jack stands, and wheel chocks, you can use your vehicle's own jack. Just support the weight of your vehicle with the tires in case your jack fails or tips over because it is not on level ground. Other than that be safe and save yourself some money. That brake job will end up costing you 1/5th to 2/5 of what they are charging. I personally recommend that you invest in all the right tools which will cost a lot and take up space in your home but it will pay off in the end. Also, you have to have a lot of family and friends who can help too. Just borrow their tools until you can get your own. I'm sure they are willing to help a brother out.

That's why I asked for the "year, make, and model" so I can show you the easy way but you don't even know what year and model car you drive so you only have yourself to blame..for going through "hard"..

The difficulty level can vary from car model to car model and brake system to brake system especially for the "knowledge is non existence" ones..Therefor e, it's key for those that have the knowledge to know the year, make and model to accurately explain the easy way... O0

Very easy brother.  Just follow the youtube video from ChrisFix on youtube.  Takes about 2-3 hours solo job for a noob like me.

parts:
2 fronts pads,
2 back pads,
4 rotors

tools:
jack
2 jack stands
c-clamp
basic tools you get in craftsman set
breaker bar
wire brush
mallet

consumable
pb blaster
wd40
thread locker
anti-cease - cooper one
brake cleaner

Parts is about $260
consumable is about $25.

$600 wounds about right if you have someone do it.  They charge 3 hours to do brakes at $125 plus $250 in super cheap parts.

if your car shutters/shakes/vibrates when braking, most likely your rotors are warp and will need to be replaced. getting them turned is another option but not really worth it considering, it's about 3/4 the price of a pair of new rotors..haha

just saying, because the look on those brake pads..lols hopefully your rotors did the beating and not your brake pads. aha

dude

my wheel rims FUSE with the rotor
i don't even know it can do that

i had to drop some SWEET CHIN MUSIC on it to make it come off
beat the shyt out of it
