During my date with my daughter, Subway ran out of certain thing but I still tip

The young Subway worker apologized to me for being out of stuff such as pickles but I told her I understand and that the supply disruptions and the service industry short staff issues are not her fault and it's out of her control.

I thanked her for the services and tip her as left with my daughter to our picnic date:

Because of our immediate gratification culture now, I explained to my daughter about what's going on and that we should treat others like how we want to be treated...

She's still young but she kind of got the idea and has learned how to be more patient especially when we're at the restaurant or the doctor's office.

That's great that you're teaching your daughter morals.  I've been doing the same with my niece about hard work pays off.  She just got accepted  to UNC Chapel Hill, it's near ivy league level.
