Mom told me to go pick up a cane from auntie today for mom, because one of auntie's sons has bought her and mom and their other sister each a cane.
Got there and auntie asked why I haven't married.
"Just like my other son," she said. "Your cousin told me the other day your mom has one and why I have one, too."
"Auntie, but that's ok. We can't just get married to be married. It has to be the right woman, one who will stay," I defended myself.
"But we have you kids loving us. Don't you want kids loving you like we have you?" she asked.
I told her not to worry and that I will soon wed.
"Your mom and other auntie can still walk. But I can't walk anymore. How long more before we see our grandchildren?"
Um...I'm not sure about that. So, I just said I'd wed soon. (I did leave her two gifts that mom said to take to her and did take her two gifts back to mom.)
