Knew a couple .. husband had 35k from a death benefit of one of his parents. He married his wife and two years later she took out 35k from their saving and he had no idea until a month later. He confronts her and she said she used it to pay for her student loan.

Is it considered stealing? They are still married. She also lie she was making so much money when she wasn’t. He found that out too during this whole thing.

In a way 'yes' it is stealing. That is a lot of money to spend without the spouse's knowledge or agreement.
