Interesting you brought this up... the data you show and the claimed made by the MSM is a comparison of a few days after Title 42 expired vs the prior week where the US saw record crossing. Does it even makes sense that when the US made it hard to get in - migrants surged but when they made it easier - migrants regress? I think I know why... when it's hard you want to make sure you get in any way possible but when it's easy, why rush - take your time knowing you're not going to get turn back.
