Thankful for all the positive and negative aspects of my life; negative to teach and positive to enjoy. I’m especially thankful for the stock markets this year that my retirement will come earlier than expected. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hahaha... yes indeed and I like your prospective.

I’m thankful for my life, my families, and my friends.  I’ve been very fortunate and blessed in my life.  :hello2:

Beautiful and wise... well said.

I find that being grateful and giving thanks to those things I have brings me great peace. To some, this may seem counterintuiti ve... because all through our lives, we are told to get better grades, find a better job, get a newer car, buy a bigger house and perhaps acquire more money. Don't get me wrong, all those things are worthy goals and if that's your passion then more power to you. If making a lot of money is your thing, by all means, go for it.

My point is this, have balance in your life, don't lose yourself or your values in pursuing those goals. Don't let your ambitions cloud the miraculous things unfolding in front of you.

I am thankful for the COVID vaccine, help is on the way. I am thankful I still have a job. I am thankful I have a family that cares about me. I am thankful I have good friends to cheer me. Most of all, I am thankful for the air in my lungs and because I got to watch the sun rise and set today.

what matters to me?  whoever is left standing in the end of the night.  that better be me.  :2funny:
just kidding, just kidding.

serious though.  what matters to "me"?  that's a good question.  I guess, for me, what matters to me is "try" to be a good person.  I think if you're a good person, everything else will fall into place, good or bad.

Good point wise one. All thing being equal, I think doing the right thing is always best.

Off subject a little, I started off as shamanism, then converted to Christianity, but now is looking at Buddhism. I think all religions have a flaw, but everyone of them, at its' core, teaches us to be a Good Person.

Risingstars... Awesome, and I mean that. Very few of us take it to heart like you do.

As I grow older, I am beginning to hate who I have become. That is why I say I am such a hypocrite. I cannot stop the material needs, I can't even quite my job because I am so depended on it. I am literally sacrificing my health for money.

We say family is always first, but how many of us actually practice what we preach? When was the last time you took your parents out to a nice dinner?

We say money is not important but how many of us have relatives that engaging in illegal marijuana cultivation. Some are dealing in it.

We say our health is everything but how many of us exercise regularly, eat the right food and avoid stress.

I think we are all hypocrites, especially myself.

 ;D ;D

winter is my favorite season
i enjoy ice fishing, snow showing, skiing and etc....

plus we got the GREAT LAKE!!!
it's better than the ocean because fresh water instead of salt
water is clear as hell too

Not exactly my idea of fun. I don’t fish or hunt. But I do love being outdoors, hiking and traveling.

You gotta dress in good warm coat and you will be fine
We got the GREAT LAKE BRO
its better than the ocean
I catch all those fishes up here in Lake Superior
From the shore too

It’s not just the cold...I am an active person, being stuck inside for 3 months out of the year does not sound appealing.

Would be nice to meet up. But I'm only visiting Nevada, including Carson City. I'm not staying here and I don't live here.

Next time- if you have a chance, drive up to visit Virginia City. Great history and nice drive.

Get a good Home Warranty... 400 bucks per year for me, which is then baked into the price of rent.

I would not want my name on any bills... this is just asking for trouble. You're save yourself a lot of future headaches and pain. I would just get out of the lease on the apartment and live in the house, since COVID, there are many legal ways to get out of a long term lease.
