Why is it so hard to make it big in the music industry? There are so many new and young artists. I just found Maa Vue the other day. How did the oldies get so big???
Hmong had/has a music industry? Since when?
Oldies, present-dies, or newbies, Hmong are not artistic period by any figment of the imagination. (Though nowadays, there are some pioneers, but still at a "snail's pace".) That said, lip-syncing and by simply putting "Hmong words" to Thai, Lao, Chinese, American, India etc. etc. etc. music "IS NOT", repeat, "IS NOT" a music industry. The US Court/Legal System actually refers to that as "
PIRACY".
IMHO, the only active and genuine "Hmong music industry" is arguably "kwv txhiaj" plus "qeej, nruas, raj, ncas, and zaj tshoob/ntees". Western types are more or less at its "infancy".
