One time my brother-in-law and I went hunting. I got none. But he go two because he had an extra tag.
We put one in the back seat and the other in the trunk.  None had to go on top or stick out.

I already know of the deer population there. Other hunters have told me about them. Plus, I even ran into one on the road back to Minnesota some years ago.

One of these days I'll have to get a non-resident license and see if I get lucky there.
