It's on my bucket list..driving along the coast.  I did a little research and there are little communities along the way w/ nice resort, nice things to do and see.    Hope others are interested too...Arriving San Francisco Airport and leaving can be Los Angeles...so 5 hours from Fresno.  No lost lake, don't want to get lost and no casino

When you land at SFO, you can just cut across west on 380 towards San Bruno to Rockaway Beach and make your way down to Pacifica, Gray Whale beach, Maverick's beach to Venice Beach in Half Moon Bay along the PCH 1...Then Keep going south til you get to Watsonville then cut across east on 152 to Fresno...

"Northern California swimmer attacked by great white shark  San

A 35-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition Saturday after being bitten by a great white shark during a morning swim south of San Francisco.

The San Mateo Sheriff’s Office announced via Twitter that the man was swimming at Gray Whale Cove State Beach when a shark measuring 6 to 8 feet bit him on the right leg."

He is the reason why I cancelled my fishing trip to the surf on that particular following day when I heard about this news.

Now had it was a killer whale sighting, I'll go swim in the water with them cuz the stats about these intelligent critter is that they have 0 known cases of attacking humans in the wild.  The only case you see are at confined places like sea world and the likes where they can drive them nuts and goes on an attack on their trainers.

take a look

I was at Funston studying hang gliding and seems like the SF Bay Area sharks like it from there down to Pacifica to Half-Moon Bay... probably because those beaches are less crowded than say Ocean Beach and other beaches up north? ???:

Nemanja Spasojevic
A 38-year-old man who was snorkelling in search of crabs at a Northern California beach on Saturday when he was attacked by a great white shark, said he is the “luckiest guy in the world” to live to tell the tale. “I felt a mosquito bite-like pain and a slight push,” Nemanja Spasojevic was quoted as saying by KTVU.

Sure  ::)

Don't be too confident saying he's lucky to be alive for the first attempt. Try that again, he won't be. That same shark will waiting for his luxurious arse. Same thing as Captain Hook was lucky when he lost his left hand to the giant crocodile. At the same spot he fell to his demise where the same crocodile ate him whole. ;D

It's better to research before going out for a swim in the ocean. Don't y'all know that Orcas (Killer Whales) has been hunting down/preying on White sharks in past years. White sharks are no match to Orcas.

I rather wait until all sharks are gone and got killed by Orcas.  ;D
