They see some people on SSI and unemployment and in their minds, these people are lazy so when Tucker Carlson tells them everyone is not working and just depending on government aid, they go crazy and just believe it because it fits their narrative. They don’t consider that unemployment doesn’t pay nearly enough to cover peoples’ bills and they don’t understand that SSI is for people who are handicapped and can’t work.

I knew a Republican guy who was publically benefiting from govt assistance.  He was a guy in a wheel chair, on SSI, but he was against SSI because in his mind, there are people who can work, who were on SSI and he was just appalled by this thought.  Of course, it was different for him, because he needed it.

This is sometimes I wonder why some of my workers are working two or three jobs.  I mean you would get more hours, if you have more of an open availability.  Yet they say nope.  Then when they get reduced hours from the other work place they say they need more hours from me.  Yet no one wants to work the shifts that I need fulfilled.  Cuz there's actual work that needs to be done.  A lot of them wants to work shifts with no work.  How is there any logic to that?  Oh that's called milking the cash cow...well that cow is dead and being served as roast beef, duh!
