i haven't even gone out to prefish yet. maybe tomorrow. but heard the water is low like fall level n heard someone be smacking them lg from my old spots. trying to eliminate my spots so i wouldn't catch fish.

yesterday boated about 12 fish, one legal keeper, had to really pinch the tail to get that 14 out of if though.

anything i gotta pinch the tail gets thrown back, too risky having a possible short fish.

gonna need a full tank tomorrow, will be doing alot of long runs. might cover the whole 30 mile stretch from arcola all the way down to hasting.

weed growth sucks this yr on the croix n these cool nights is a turn off for lg, but damn, them 12-13" smallies be smacking on anything. 2 lbs avg will likely guarantee a paycheck. that's a 16" lg or 17.5" sm.

The croix was a tough bite.  I caught all my fish shallow, lost one good one hook didn't penetrate because It was just a tick tick and I didn't set hard enough.  If I had four more fish I might have been in the money.    All in all it was  a great day of fishing, lost one fish out of 10, not a bad day of fishing!

Good job guys! I'm actually real impress with St Croix. Major props to everyone for stickin' out & enduring that kind of weather. I'm real happy we actually caught fish and made our limit. Now I just need to find these large mouth holes u all know of....

oh we all do.  Patience Grasshopper!  the time will come. 

Ricqik has fished a few.  There are a few guys in the group that has fished with white folks.  4th of july is "ours" and its a blast!
