6/22/14

Forgotten yesterday's workout...

well did another run around Phalen...well ran turned into speed walk, turned into slow walk.  Apparently there was some triathlon thingy even going on over there.

Anyways...I got done came home...

snoozed woke up and went to exercise some

10 squats for check
50 sit ups flat
50 arm curls
30 dumbbell shoulder press

got bored and sort of quit afterwords.

Guess I do a little work out before going to watch American Ninja Warrior.   O0

The real villain is looking at you.  The last hero was just not true.  If everything works out in the end.  It's because all things make amends.

Yes, sum are very funny to watch.
The Olympic athletes and MMA fighters are the most overrated contestants.  Most of them failed with no style whatsoever and look like clumsy newbs.

Okay so 06/23/14  before watching American Ninja Warrior

90 sit ups flat
60 squats
80 arm curls
30 dumbbell bench press
30 chest flies
20 dumbbell shoulder press
25 push ups

For some reason I've been feeling weaker in my push ups this past week.  Mostly the ligaments in the elbows are tiring out.

Just another day at being muscle man. I kid I kid.

LOL...you know you could do that on the pedometer on the Nintendo 3DS.  ;D

You know it is hard to get off the couch with 3ds. The gut muscle will extend out.

LOL...my kids play it.  So I really don't know.  There's a game on it that makes you do things off the couch, but they don't play that as much cuz it's kind of hard.

Just set your alarm. What time do you start work?

Right now alarm is set at 6:30 am...should be more like 5 am.

Work starts at 8:30 am.

That's the time that I get up. How long does your work out take?

If I do a work out, I usually allocate enough time for 1 full hour of workout...so generally I need 1.5 hours just to be on the safe side.

Ideally I would do some high intensity stuff for like 15-20 minutes.  The rest is moderate to low intensity just because of slower joints with age now.

This morning I hit no more than 10 minutes of quick push ups and squats and a few ab crunches.

If you workout at home and  are efficient in your routine you should get a good work out in 15mins. If not, 30mins should be a good goal. Otherwise, anything over an hr might be an over kill.

Yeah...not efficient at all right now...still trying to get a feel for it...just reconditioning the old muscles and joints.

Don't forget you still need at least 1/2 for shower after the work out as well.

Nope...just cool down stretching and such...man shower is usually less than 5 minutes.

Try this..
3 sets of 30sec push-ups and 3 different types of 3 sets of 15 reps of push-ups. That's doable in 10mins. Then 5mins for core.

Yes definitely.  My body still hasn't responded well.  It still seems to lack the energy and stamina.  I want to pump through but my joints says nope.  Some weeks, I feel pumped, some weeks I feel hurting and aching joints and muscles.
