On the date of my birth in 1307, Swiss activist Guillaume Tell and his little son visited the town of Altdorf, Switzerland. He refused to bow to a hat on a tree that a new local leader had insisted everyone to bow to.
Both were arrested. The son was imputed with the same crime his father had committed.
But the leader challenged him: if Tell could hit an apple on top of his very own son's head, both of them would go free.
Crossbow drawn to its fullest as full could be, Tell aimed at the far away red round fruit on top of his shivering young boy.
Within less then two seconds, Tell's arrow split the apple in half.
Both were released.
