not sure about your state
but our state gun deer season for the regular folks is only one week long
yes one
aka 1 week aka 7 days

that's why i don't play games

it serious business to me

if you can shoot 2-3 inches grouping at 100 yard (consistent <<<keyword word)
than you are ROBIN HOOD to me
  lol  :2funny:

That's why there is season for a 2-3 inch grouping at 40-50 yds with a bow. And a season for 2-3 inch grouping at 100 yds with a gun. Let's not forget, that for gun, there's 2 tags. One for anterless and one for a buck.

deer hunting license $24
ammo  $0.45 cent  (only need one round)

where bow

you need wax for the string, practice arrow, broad head,
plus those crossbow/bow can be hella expensive  $600++ for those high end

you can probably get a bolt action for $250-300 ish

You don't need an expensive bow to get a deer.

Not the hmong robin hood, but consistently shooting 2-3 inch grouping at 50 yds with crossbow isn't that hard. People who have experiences with a crossbow will what I mean.

On the date of my birth in 1307, Swiss activist Guillaume Tell and his little son visited the town of Altdorf, Switzerland. He refused to bow to a hat on a tree that a new local leader had insisted everyone to bow to.

Both were arrested. The son was imputed with the same crime his father had committed.

But the leader challenged him: if Tell could hit an apple on top of his very own son's head, both of them would go free.

Crossbow drawn to its fullest as full could be, Tell aimed at the far away red round fruit on top of his shivering young boy.

Within less then two seconds, Tell's arrow split the apple in half.

Both were released.
