LoL. What does the reel do? It's a tough question but I'll take a shot at it. Draw the crossbow?

Having a 12 pound draw weight isn't heavy. That's only about double the weight of the average bow or rifle/shotgun. If you're too weak for that then yes, it is better for you to hunt with a gun.

It's funny how you talk as if you're some kind of expert or is experienced in bow hunting when you admit it yourself that you don't bow hunt.

BTW, I speak from experience.  I hunt with a bow, rifle and shotgun. It's understandable for amateur lacking in hunting experience like yourself  to be intimidated with the idea of hunting with a bow. Keep hunting and you'll get there some day. Just don't come to my hunting spot.  Don't want an amateur spooking the deer.  O0

Those at stores have not been adjusted to your level.

I can see you don't have one at home that has been tailored to your level of strength.

They let us hunt with crossbow now in Wisconsin
Not just handicap folk
It is hard to cock with your bare hand

You thought wrong. But I know that you don't bow hunt. And how about owning a bow? No?

Yup. He's talking like he has never had a bow made for his draw length, etc.

i can hit 200 yard with my 30-06 consistent 2-3 inch grouping
300 yard, im starting to push it a little bit, 5 inch grouping, still pretty good (i have bad eye sight)

now with crossbow/bow
you are really pushing beyond 25 yard

again, im only speaking from my experience
at 50 yards, I was all over the place
2-3 foot grouping

it just easily with a gun
try shooting from 200 yard with a crossbow/bow consistent

shoot, even at 100 yard, try shooting that consistent
i highly doubt you can

How strong am I? Strong enough to draw my bow.

i never say it couldn't be done
i say it is going be hard and require lots of skills

sometimes, even with skills
you get shots like this
where it dont kill the deer
and they survive

too inconsistent for me
i prefer guns, where i can get 2-3 inch grouping

zdn said it best... hmgrock is the type of fisherman and hunter where he only cares to over harvest his fair share as easily and as inexpensive as possible (paraphrased)...

hmgrock you only enjoy the convenient things we know but a rifle doesn't guarantee you a sure shot... you only like it because you don't like to be challenged... you also think you need to guarantee harvest for survival but we all know you would prefer taking your lady to a fast food joint instead... lol!

deer hunting license $24
ammo  $0.45 cent  (only need one round)

where bow

you need wax for the string, practice arrow, broad head,
plus those crossbow/bow can be hella expensive  $600++ for those high end

you can probably get a bolt action for $250-300 ish

Why do I need to go to the store to draw a crossbow when I already have one at home.
