come on man... i don't bow hunt but my brother does and he's harvested plenty of elk bow hunting... like everything we do in life... the more you practice the better you get at it...

Not for everyone
Definitely if you are handicapped challenge
Going be hella hard to draw the bow

I prefer gun

Especially if I really want to eat meat

You know hunting is already hard as is

i think you will agree that like fishing... once you do your research and know enough... it becomes easy... doesn't guarantee that you get deer or fish but it becomes easier...

my brother in law eats deer yr round up there... doesn't seem hard for him... actually he has eaten so much of it that he's starting to get tired of it... lol!

Didn't know Wisconsin had a year-round deer season.

No need for those fancy guns. It's all just a money making scheme by the gun companies. Apparently you fell for it. When you're an experienced Hunter, you can bag a deer with a bow, rifle, shotgun or handgun. Looks like you didn't learn anything from those bass fishermen that you criticize so much. But I guess if it boost your confidence, go ahead.

By the way, it's not hard to draw a crossbow. If someone can use a fishing reel, they can use a crossbow.

True.

Crossbows and bows are adjusted to each person so that the particular hunter will be able to draw his or hers with ease.

It's obvious you weren't drawing a crossbow that was tailored to your strength. You were using someone else's.

Only handicapped hunters are allowed to use crossbows. You aren't handicapped. You couldn't get a license to get one.

So, it's clear that you were trying to draw someone else's crossbow. That's why you had problems with it.

Hitting the target is a matter of marksmanship. If you haven't trained well enough, don't use a bow or crossbow. Same with guns and slingshots. You aren't going to hit the fatal spots unless you have been trained to hit them.

LoL. What does the reel do? It's a tough question but I'll take a shot at it. Draw the crossbow?

Having a 12 pound draw weight isn't heavy. That's only about double the weight of the average bow or rifle/shotgun. If you're too weak for that then yes, it is better for you to hunt with a gun.

It's funny how you talk as if you're some kind of expert or is experienced in bow hunting when you admit it yourself that you don't know hunt.

BTW, I speak from experience.  I hunt with a bow, rifle and shotgun. It's understandable for amateur lacking in hunting experience like yourself  to be intimidated with the idea of hunting with a bow. Keep hunting and you'll get there some day. Just don't come to my hunting spot.  Don't want an amateur spooking the deer.  O0
